Behave, What I would like to know is whether "thebiff" has got the device working again, there will still be some files missing from the unit but these can be downloaded via the Home software - Mike
PS I only use six fingers and two thumbs for typing, I still have to master the keyboard fully, dictation to the PC is the answer to speed typing though |

Many Thanks
Followed directions and paid the £39.99 though tomtom home and all seems to be working (seems to take a little longer to startup and shutdown than before and had to manually set splash screens but it works fine!).
Many Thanks for your time - otherwise this would have ended up in the bin.
P.S. - I have now backed this up.... just in case! |

Great to hear its working again, there are still a few folders missing from the unit - you can add the following folders to the card using Windows Explorer, they should all reside within the root of the SD Card:
"art" then open the "art" folder and create a folder named "cars" it is into here you place any custom icons you might want to use to replace the blue arrow that depicts your current position on the 3D map.
"contacts" the device will create files in this folder such as your phone contacts list, recently made and received calls.
"itn" for storing any itinerary files you might want to use.
"mp3" for your music files
"photos" for and pictures you want to use with the built in picture viewer.
"raster" for the overview map images you get to see when zoomed out, for the files that go in here you will have to look at your e-mail as I have sent them over.
"text" for any .txt documents you want to read on the device using the document viewer.
"voices" for any standard non TTS style voice files.
In each case the folder names will be all lower case and will not contain the "" - Mike |

I've now put those extra files on such as the rasters you mailed me - and all is working as was. Many Thanks again. |
