erm.. yes they do. Garmin Oregon
Been out for a few months new, reports are that the screen is unreadable in sunlight though so not good.

The Oregon has been out for few months but the OS mapping has only just been released and even then only for a limited area. It's a nice multi-task device but not a serious competitor IMHO.
I saw the Oregon at the Cycle Show and initially got quite excited about it. The combination of the Garmin's usability and Satmap style OS mapping (eventually) is the Holy Grail for me. BUT - it's useless if you can't read it, or if you have to have the backlight up so high it hits battery life! I tried a Colorado a few months ago outside a London shop and it was similarly unreadable in strong sunlight.

Hi

Just thought I would throw in acomment about sensitivity. i agree that my old Garmin finds the satellittes quicker than my Active 10, but I dont find it a problem, I do as other people do and turn it on a couple of minutes before I need it. Also is it a fair comparison? my garmin is a basic black and white unit and my Active 10 has colour and dozens of functions to start up before it can be used. Is this the same as a PC with too many items at the start slowing down the start up?

Once the active 10 has aquired the satellittes it is 100 times better and keeping logged on, through tree cover, in between high buildings, the Garmin loses signal straight away, very annoying. But the Satmap works fine. Even in my house (in certain places) it can find 5 sats. I even walked through the Bull Ring in Birminham and it (just) keep a signal, it even showed a snail trail!! How?I dont know but it appeared to show the turns at the right places while I was inside the building!

Dont keep knocking for the sake of it, if you have a problem let Satmap know. Soon be Spring!

Happy New Year John
