If you are going to go for the 720 then you will have to move quickly, there will be few shops with them remaining in stock, as you have found though they are a real bargain, more so when you realise that simple updates to the software and maps turn it into a 730. - Mike

Guys many many thanks for all the help here.

Have sorted a 720 from Amazon - only 2 left now by the looks of it.
170 quid including P&P, and £5 for a 2Gb SD card from Play.
Was going to reuse the one from the 710, but thought I would hang on to it just in case.

Goes without saying I am probably going to pester people to make sure I do the upgrades right. I'm assuming it will all happen via TT Home?

Well done Bob, Just one warning. DO NOT use the map guarantee UNTIl you have upgraded to version 8. you may have to perform one or two updates to get there. Only then should you use the guarantee to grab the v8 map.

And as ever, take a backup first!

Arrived this morning!!
Backed up, been messing around with it most of the day.

Version showing as 8.010.

Going for the v8 maps now.
