have always been able to get the weather on my iPaq running TTN5 when its connected up to my computer without TT Home opened up.

That's because ActiveSync is providing the Internet access the the Windows device. I thought we were in a TomTom Go/Rider/One thread Wink

Useful maybe but don't you have better weather forecasts available on the web?

This would have been handy while travelling last week without any access to the internet for 3 days.

Not really. The functionality is only there in the Operate My Go emulator, not the unit itself. So you still need TTHome and an internet connection.

Oh, I guess I misunderstood, and assumed that you could then download the forecast to the TomTom for future reference.

I guess I have to agree with Darren then - this is rather useless. Thanks for pointing it out anyway; maybe someone will think of a reason for it.

I'm glad someone has corrected me and explained the reasons in plain English. In future I will stick with my TTG 500 and TTG 520 comments... Embarassed (Grandads are like this)
P.S. I have always been able to get the weather on my TTG 500 when connected to TTH and not logged in. Police
