didn't know you could do that. i don't like the sound of the computer voices so use others but that means lak of functionality. does this mean I can use a proper voice most of the time and a computer voice for the extras? Can't see how to set this up.

Easy! (although I missed it for ages too!)
When you select a "real" voice (eg Tim) it immediately throws up what LOOKS like just an annoying "nag screen" telling you that it won't be able to read out warnings etc. and would you like to choose a "computer voice instead?
I'd always just answered "no" - while thinking to myself "How rude, I know what voice I want, thank you very much!!"
BUT if you read it carefully, what it is really offering is to use the voice you selected for normal navigation, but to use a DIFFERENT voice for warnings etc.
So all you have to do is select your preferred voice and then say "Yes" when it asks if you want to choose a different one for warnings. |

Latest feedback from TomTom on Lost Kate issue
Quote from TomTom
"I have been looking into this and if you use the 'Operate My Go' feature in tom tom home and have a computer voice selected then this will happen. The computer voices do not work with the emulater so the software has to unselect it and usually just selects the first human voice which is Afrikaans. This I think should be resolved in the update of tom tom home"

Hi dsouter
Oh no! On this forum over the years we have had dozens of comedians and now we have a poet. What next? Gordon Brown? _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Gordon Brown went to London town
His wish to be PM
He squeezed us all and trod us down
Only to do it again and again and again
I hope his tomtom breaks down
