Quote: | The latest version of PoiLoader has the option to delete ALL added poi's.
You could try that. |
It won't work as the unit won't start.
Quote: | Have you tried a FULL reboot of the i3. Hold Left button, Wheel button down and then the Power button at the same time. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
That should clear the maps out of date problem. |
Yes. This worked for me.... |

Thanks Anita. Hi Pocketgps. Tried doing the full reboot buit not getting very far. Get a message saying "do you really want to erase user data" which I assume I don't and even if I did it doesn't stay on screen long enough to do anything about it. If I press left and right buttons together I get an info screen which appears to check the system but doesn't appear to be much use to me. Will try the card reader route. Can't delete direct from i3 because it won't do anything. The 760 should arrive today so I can try to wreck that while I'm at work. Have the prospect of a very dull day today so it will give me something to think about! |

I'm theguy who has a 760T that is recognised by one XP Pro machine but not with another one.
I saw this message above "You should have a folder called c:\garmin\usb drivers, try using that one. It maybe in a sub folder called i386."
Certainly I don't have that folder on the machine that is not working.
Is it available to install on-line?

:I did find that folder but didn't seem to be able to do anything with it, but then I'm useless with technology. I seem to have to install the i3 from the disk every time I connect it. Just comes up as new hardware and fails to work unless I do that. Course now it doesn't work at all cos some idiot gave it indigestion!! |

It is on Garmins website, but it won't help you. The i3 needs drivers to communicate with Windows, the Nuvi range use the standard Mass Storage Drivers that come with Windows.
I believe the folder is also created when POILoader is installed. |
