I thought that at first Darren, but if he did then he wouldn't have the round speed sign icons....
But chajun... you simply CAN'T be getting indications of the speed limits themselves. Neither the database OR the TomTom itself can work that way.
What you must be seeing is the TomTom alerting you to MOBILE camera sites (99% of which will not have a camera van present at any one time).
Either that or you have discovered an amazing feature that NO-ONE has ever seen before! |

From the Forth road bridge there is a stretch of road that starts off 50mph. My unit advises that the limit there is 50mph no speed camera.
After about a mile the speed drops to 40mph approaching a place called Cramond Brig. Again no speed camera yet it tells me to slow to 40mph. Confused or not??? |

Here you mean?
You will see the icons on our map for a 40mph Mobile Speed Camera, now our system if correctly configured would show a mobile speed camera icon for this location.
For the benefit of clarity and so we can all understand your set-up, which version of our database are you using, which icons (default or other?) and what voice alerts if any? _________________ Darren Griffin

I'm happy to help but you'll need to help us. As you can see on the map above, the cameras on that stretch are Mobile cameras. Our system alerts you to the possible presence of them in that area. There is no guarantee that they will be there but forewarned is forearmed.
If you configure our database correctly the icons will show you that the type of camera, if you see a Mobile Icon and hear 'Warning, Mobile Camera, speed limit forty miles per hour' then you know to slow down and beware that their might be a mobile camera in action there. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Where? We don't record or warn for speed limits, only speed cameras. _________________ Darren Griffin |
