Tomtom one V3 Serious Problem

Through windows i did try both types of format full and quick also through dos as well both with the same results.

This is a 3rd edition TomTom.

At the moment i am running the sdformatter with the following settings,
Over wright ERASE
Flash erase OFF

I'll see where i can get with this. Once it is formatted what is my best option as i cannot imagine tomtom home will then reconise it as it will be just be recconized as a plain usb drive.

HOME will know what the Device is and should be able to Install the appropriate, latest, software for it.

I don't know how the Internal Memory will re-act to a Reformat with SD Formatting.
