Probably "ferrite beads" or "rings" rather than magnets (as seen on a lot of computer cables for monitors etc.)

(These from Maplins, but widely available from electronics shops).

This would make sense, as it would tend to reduce any parasitic Radio Frequency interference, which could be generated in the power adapter and transferred up the cable.

A better design of power adapter would also tend to produce less in the first place.

Andy_P2002. Last week I made a 900 mile round trip from home to Glasgow (via Telford). Had my TMC running which was about 90% effective ( No delays believe it or not). BUT..I did notice my 520T unit was alot warmer to the touch than when I have the TMC disconnected. So I will try out an alternative power adaptor when I can get to the shops.
