I tried setting up my O2 XDA Exec (HTC Universal) which was listed as compatible under v6 but not now under v7.

I can operate hands free calls via bluetooth no problem but GPRS won't work. The default settings in the device seem to be wrong regarding the DNS servers (primary should end in 200 but alt should end in 201 according to phone settings) also the username is shown as O2 Web with the space whereas the device shows it without the space, I don't know if this matters but the keyboard hasn't got a space key so I can't try it.

Mine did sit there for a while trying to configure the settings, then does a connection test and then fails.

Just got my v7 upgrade and thought I would try it with my old Motorola Slvr. Anyone know what the GPS is doing when it shows "loading GPRS Settings' as it's been like it for sometime now and wondered if it was doing anything at all or just frozen.

Does setting up the link take a while?

It was fairly quick for me... 10 sec or so. I had to accept the settings on my phone.

Eventually got a connection failed message so I assume my phone definately won't work. Oh well should have a new phone soon and Stu said the W910i I have on order 'shoud' work

Why don't you go down to carphonewarehouse and ask them if you can check it out with your sat nav. my local shop said it would be OK.

The W910i had arrived and I was allowed to activate it as we didn't want to leave setting it up till Christmas day.
Managed to quickly link up the Bluetooth on the x980t and was able to link to the GPRS to download Weather information, didn't manage to test any further as the other half came in and caught me.

Have now been made to put the phone away until Christmas Crying or Very sad oh well at least I know it works with GPRS at least and would imagine handsfree would work.

Just got my V7 Software and installed it. Unfortunately, no success with GPRS on my Nokia 6233. I tried connecting with every GPRS service, not just my own provider. Also, tried doing it manually - with no success. The phone isn't listed as supported on the ViaMichelin website but I was hoping it just might work Sad

I know the GPRS feature is working on the phone as I can access the web on the phone and I can connect a computer to the web via my phone. Hopefully, ViaMichelin are planning to add functionality for more phones.

Stu, any comments?

Just tried my other half's Nokia 6230 and the GPRS worked. Couldn't copy Contacts and didn't try the hands free.

GPRS services seem good and presumably offer lots of opportunity for new ideas in the future. Hope they get other phones working soon.

Hi All

Sorry that I haven't been in touch for a while but to say that we are busy with the Christmas rush would be an understatement.

I just wanted to update everyone on whats going on and how we are stiull working to support you.

I have a meeting on Thursday with Product Management and while I can't promise that all the issues will be cleared up right away, I do have the list from the site (thanks to you all) and will be going through each issue.

Just to let you know the V7.02 update on the web fixes several problems including:

"Slip Road Flaw": Route would take you off some slip roads then back on again.
- Message "Corrupted data" in Content Manager, under Vista
- Dangerous curves indication (left or right) was random
- System would shut down when deleting a stage along route planning
- No route after download of MyViaMichelin via GPRS
- ... and many wording mistakes that were corrected

We will have an update arounf 17th Decenber to V7.03 which will fix the speed camera download issues some people are getiing and other issues - I will post a full list of what this changes when I have it.

I know that some of you have had an issue with creating new folders when you have downloaded V7.02 and would ask anyone who can to email me a screen shot of this error to show to the developers.

I have now got a direct line to one of the chief software developers on the team and any info you give will be directed to him to make any urgent changes which affect the use of the products. Any cosmetic changes you want to recommend will be taken on board and put forward for inclusion in V8 in March but I think we need to sort out errors first.

Thanks to you all for the support,

Regards

Stu
