TTGo Frozen screen

Sent an email to Sat Nav Shop but have not heard back from them. Also contacted TomTom and had an email back from them the following day which said as follows:

"[i]Please ensure that you have the latest version of Tomtom Home installed;

Connect the unit to the PC , In Home delete the application from the R/H panel ,Log in and click on ' download your updates'.
A new application will appear in the middle panel, Put a check mark against it and click Install

After the update has installed

Important : Always click on the My Device button before disconnecting the device from the PC ,This is to ensure that Windows electricaly ejects the unit from the USB.

This will prevent the SD card/Hard drive crashing or freezing the unit" [/i]

Anyway I installed the update of about 8mb and then tried to restore my back up with Home. Again this did not work so I copied/pasted the back up manually and now it is all working again. I can only think that because I had not previously downloaded the latest update it somehow froze the system.
Anyway it now appears to be working as it should, long may it last!!
