What do you mean by SMS readout? Do you mean the nice lady reading them out loud or the messages being displayed? My 6230i has always been fully compatible, but I have NEVER tried to set my 720 to read out messages, because I'm always driving and don't want the distraction, so I've no test to say it's working. It displays the text OK, and accepts text input too.
