One other consideration, have you got the PDA phone set to "Flight Mode" this will cause the radio to switch off, check the comms manager and make sure flight mode is OFF - Mike |

Right, here goes:
I tried removing the pairing and rebooting - No good.
I have had it with it in Flight Mode and not in Flight Mode - No difference.
I have done a hard reset and then reinstalled TT - Still the same.
I did notice that at one time the bluetooth light on the GPS went off and stayed off even though the green sat light kept flashing.
I am at a total loss here. I have ordered a new bluetooth GPS in the hope that it gets here quickly and that it solves the problem.
Thanks for your suggestions though, I do appreciate your efforts. :D |

Well I got my old 2210 with TT3 out and the GPS works with that. Any ideas why it won't work with the XDA Exec? I haven't done any updates or anything so I'm really puzzled. |

This sounds like the BT isn't working on the Exec, does the BT Handsfree still work OK with it? - Mike |

Hi Mike
That's the funny thing it is. It seems that it's just with GPS there's a problem.
I may have to resort to using my old 2210 with TT3 on for this trip unless the new GPS receiver works with the XDA.

I got my new GPS receiver - Holux 236 - plugged it in and it worked straight away. No idea why the old one works with my old PDA but at least I can sell it as a working system.
Thank you for your time and helpful suggestions.

I guess your GPS that doesn't work on the Exec is set to output SiRF data rather than NMEA, TT3 will support either mode, but TTvs5 and 6 only support NMEA.
I didn't suggest this earlier as I asked you about the Yellow/ Blue disk spinning, which indicates communication between the PDA and GPS - you said it wasn't.
As a try (and this is easy for you to do with the old PDA as its running TT3) - Have a read through my post Here which details how to switch the receiver between the two modes, it might be as simple as this - Mike |

The strange thing is it was working a few weeks ago.
I will do what you suggest but I might not have time to do it before the trip so will have a look when we get back.
