Have got the list of POI,s up on the screen but cannot find in the list anything to do with football or stadiums. Does it come under some other title. The list of downloadable POI's had about 20 different ones.

its under the "POI's" heading (not "Download POI's") , then under "United Kingdom", then "football clubs" etc

| Are the POI's on this site the same as the ones that are on my new TT one V2. In other words would the updated shopping one on this site if downloaded replace the one supplied. |

NO.
TomToms come with loads of POI categories as standard (often referred to as "built-in" POIs). Some are OK, some are totally useless. You cannot edit them or add to them. They are stored in a file called 'poi.dat'.
Third-party POI categories (often called "user POIs") are found all over the web. Some are good, some poor, some just out of date. They have no connection to TomTom. File format for TomToms is 'whatever.ov2' and the files can be created, edited, added-to etc. both on the unit itself or on the PC using utilities like 'POI Edit'.
The annoying thing is you often end up having to have both the TT and user versions of a category running at the same time (Petrol stations in my case) in order to catch as many as possible.
Finally ascsbe, we never got to the bottom of why you cannot see the football clubs in the "Stadiums" built-in category (as opposed to scoobydooby's user one)...
With a new TT One, you MUST have v6 maps, and they should be on there. |

Lumped into the "sports center" built-in poi as far as I can see.
There isnt a specific "Stadiums"-then "football clubs" on my tt one v2 either, this is nothing to do with differences in base maps is it? (teleatlas v navteq)
A search for football, once in the "sports centre" built in POI brings up loads

Aha! now we're getting somewhere!
The "Statium" category is deff. there on my v660.1219 UK and IE map, downloaded on 30th Dec. There is also "sports centres".
Looks like they have been changing more things on these "near identical" map versions!  |

I have map v652.1185, can you compare the map versions like for like?, bearing in mind the different suppliers for basemaps between UK/Irl & full europe.
