(Ignoring the fact that at £80 I could buy a replacement GPS for little more, doutbless with more up to date features etc. making this option a bit of a non starter)

Well i've not seen it again since i did it 5-6 months ago.

You can backup your Favourites with EasyGPS in a few seconds.

Once you have done that you just need to do the 3 button start up, spend 2 minutes resetting your preferences and reloading your Favourites. You Custom POIs will not be touched.
