If you have the Italy_Plus Map you will be able to Navigate from your current location and be Navigated on the Major Roads throughout Europe, until you cross the Italian Border. Then you will have Street Level Maps.

You don't need the Street Level Detail at the end you know well.

You can always set the route into the Italian_Plus Map and it will be there when you need it. You can switch to the GB Map for the first part of your journey if you're not comfortable with the Major Roads bit, and switch on the way across the Channel.
