thanks tim,
yes it does it by scrolling and using crosshairs etc.and yes it shows as mexborough.
i am using smartst 2005 but the maps are version 3 not st 2005 so think that must be reason.
its no detrement really but just abind you cant find it via search process only via scrolling the map and using the crosshair method,found same for son in south grove,ryton,tyne & wear too so done that manually too
however may just put up with it and see if navman release any newer maps first before purchasing the 2005 ones.

[quote="cleggie"]Help please
when i select destination and type in a town ie mexborough,then go to the street entry and the keyboard comes up i start entering west road but it finds nothing.it only finds streets upto beginning with letter m. ie streets starting with letter a to m,none from n to z
yet if i go to the map i can move around it and find that west road is there.
why dont it start coning up as a possibility if i enter w then e then s etc?
Just to confuse the issue still more, I have a 510 and tried looking for West Road in Mexborough and found nothing. If I enter 'W' (without quotes), I get 17 entries of streets starting with 'W' in Mexborough, so certainly streets with names from M onwards are covered.
Can I suggest you confirm the lack of streets M onwards on your machine just by searching for Mexborough then just enter a single letter such as M, N, O etc and see what comes up - just wait for the hourglass to appear when the letter is entered. _________________ Gee-Pee
