Metroguide USA v5. Please help

I wonder if this is a problem with the Wizard. When i did it the old method I could search all the maptiles and had all the poi loaded. It could be that the wizard cancels the mapsource loader too early. I will have to test it myself.
I hope its not back to the old method! And if it is i might write a guide if i have time.

You can test it by turning of gps mode and simulating the route. Try using via and you can also review turns

For the time being you could always load all the places you want to visit onto the i3 as waypoints in the mapsource program. You can still use this to load them to the i3

Hello I'm new to all this, but having read loads of posts and taking the plunge and had a go at uploading a load of France and Austria Metroguide maps via the wizard, it seems to have worked.

I'm using a new 512mb card.... one quick question.... will I still get voice prompts? I can see the autorouting working as it calculates routes... etc.. but on the settings menu the voice choices seem to have gone.. it only displays text language options.

I see on the original SD card some voice files? Should they be copied accross?

Could it be that im using a 1gb card?
Ive seen several comments about a 512mb being the max.

I have a 512,and i have checked,and I have the same problem if i use the wizard. It looks like i will have to use the manual method for the time being.. I will email the author of the wizard to see if he can correct it

You can still use it anway. autorouting still works but you will have to load waypoints before you go via mapsource

It is now working for me. see this thread I was involved in.

I tried 3 different area's France, UK and Netherlands and selected a couple of maptiles from each and loaded them at the same time. When I go to address search it gives me 3 countries to choose from ENGLAND,FRANCE and NETHERLAND.

Still no joy here!!!
I can select the map tiles in mapsource and start the wizard.
It builds an index file but doesnt seem to transfer it to the unit.
I then transfer maps to the unit ok.
When i try and do a search under "where to" there is no address option so i dont get a country list.
Any thoughts?

are you running the latest version of Mapsource? Mine is 6.11.3.

Almost there !!
Loaded maps successfully and can search and find cities
However, I cannot use the address search.
"go to", then "address", but as soon as i enter anything it says not found.
Does that mean it is only a routing map from city to city.
If i simulate a journey i can get there with full mapping down to street level.
Gives me turn by turn directions ok.
I just cant enter an address.
Am i missing something?

AMENDMENT

When i do a search address it asks for a "State" at the next screen.
No matter what i enter it says "not found".
if i do a search for city i can select any one in the list
Then i can route to another. it gives centre point to centre point for the 2 cities.
There must be a way of inputting addresses but im totally stumped.

Older one with external mapping.
I can see it building an index file but dont know if its transferring to i3.
Does it store it somewhere temp on pc and i can transfer it onto the card manually.?

Once the wizard kicks off, i leave well alone.
I dont see any prompt to abort/cancel.
Did you load the maps while on ver2.7 or another?
Ive tried with the card in the unit and in a card reader and get the same results.
Its really frustrating to have everything as it should be except "adress search.
Maybe I"ll send you my card and you can do it for me !!!! Laughing Out Loud
