[quote="MH51"]Hi,
Sorry if I was misunderstood. I have been using the Toll Charges built into the TT510. What i ask is that, is there a similar thing like it for the London Congestion Zone so that I can use it to avoid it when planning my journey in London.
As mike said the built in one will work with london congestion but if you still want a poi of it you can get one from here http://www.tomtomfree.com/
But you will have to buy the disc to get it £4.99 or download the file for same price theres about 200 poi's on it i think |

tomtom are aware of the droopy mount issue. My 510 was OK at first, then after 3 weeks or so it started to droop over a period of about 30 mins from installation, until the screen was lower than vertical. I contacted support and they offered to send me a new mount without any prevaricating at all. They are clearly aware of a fault.
I await its arrival, but in the meantime I have discovered that the position on the screen has a bearing on this matter. The drooping had occurred after I had removed the mount to clean the screen. Originally the base of the 510 was about 40mm above the dash, mounted centre screen in my nearly new Mondeo. Stable and solid. Never drooped. After I reinstalled it after cleaning the screen, I placed it much lower so that the bottom of the unit was only 10 mm above the dash and it repeatedly drooped even when fully tightened. I have now moved it back to its original position and it is solid again. I can only assume that the curvature of the screen affects the suction and subsequent pressure on the locking mechanism.
Others on the forum have reported similar findings. |

I had simlar trouble with my mount, It uses suction to stick to the windscreen and suction to lock the device into position. I dont have any problems now as I've found a good spot on my windscreen. Advice to anyone using the TomTom 510/710/910 find a good flat spot on your windscreen, Make sure its clean and dry and when you stick it to the screen make sure you twist the suction mount twice. (once to lock to windscreen and once to lock the position) Alot of people only twist it once which only locks to the windowscreen hence why some people maybe having trouble with it tipping over etc... |

hi...
Just an update on the POI -- I downloaded the latest copy of the speed cameras from this site... (the 23 files one) put onto TOMTOM and also added loads of other POI's.. supermarkets, shops etc... so far im at 70 POI and freed up space by deleting the TOM TOM SPEED CAMREAS...
so the answer is yes.. more POI can be added on this not like the old GO's at 39 - I will let you know once i fill the POIs!
in regards to the mount... rang TOMTOM and they sent me a new mount via logging into TOMTOM.co.uk and they gave a part nuimber and 6 days later new mount... which was perfect
(since TOMTOM didnt want the old mount back i have taken/prised it apart and mended the old on.... basicly the lock was not griping the ball.. so after a bit of bending and relining it works perfect... so 2 mounts now... cant beat a spare!!
Cheers |
