As others have said, one method is to get the latest map upgrade (which you may get for free, but you may not - if not, it's only about £50) which will then give you all regions unlocked for free. The other option is to ring up Garmin, explain what you've done, and they may be willing to help you out. Be prepared to wait on the phone before you speak to someone, but normally the person you speak to will try their best to help you out.
