What version of windows media player are you using?

I am using version 10

I just added my MP3 tracks to the now playing playlist. the selected Save Now playing playlist As...
When the box poped up I named the playlist what I wanted it to be called and changed the Save as Type box to be M3U Playlist (*.m3u)
I then used Tomtom home software to locate and load the playlist onto the 910 (I didn't have to load the individual MP3's as the home software recognised the playlist as being 4.5Gb)
The playlist is then available on the 910, you can either select the playlist to play, or individual albums/songs/artists etc.

Hope this helps

Vicky

Ah, I wonder if that's where I'm going wrong. I tried creating a playlist of tracks that were already on the 910. I then uploaded using Windows Explorer, not the POS TTHome (I really don't like that bit of software - horrible thing it is).

I'll give your way a go over the weekend when I have time to shout at it if it wipes my audiobooks out again.

Thanks again.

Well, there I was last night, driving up the M8 towards Edinburgh listening to an audiobook when all of a sudden the 910 just dropped the bluetooth connection to my phone. The last thing I tried was to switch off the 910 and switch it back on again. For some reason it went into 'reboot' mode, giving me the yellow progress bar. When it had restarted, the audiobook icon was greyed out again. This is starting to annoy me now. With no access to a PC until getting home, I had no access to the books.

Oh, and to cap it all, the external mic that came boxed with the unit has packed up. Rolling Eyes

Hi all.
I'm in trouble again. Crying or Very sad
My audio books icon is now permanently greyed out too.
Done the ususal reset etc.
Tried all of MELenniums tips again from earlier in this thread, no joy.
Tried all of mikealders tips too, and still no joy.
This is now beginning to annoy me immensley.
Anyone else got any ideas plz.
There are no mp3's on this unit apart from the samples supplied with it.

CeeJay.

A combination of repeated refreshes of the audible manager software while connected to the go device coupled to the pc and a few reset prods on the 910 sorted me out last Sunday, the audio books have since disapeared and refuse to come back even trying this method, if anyone can find a sure fire method of reinstating the books (when mobile is prefereable) they would have the key to the problem, I have reverted to using the PDA for now until TomTom can assign some time to sorting this issue out - Mike

It seems to me that, for whatever reason, the 910 occasionally wipes out the Audible Activation info, hence disabling playback. The only way I've found of getting them back when they're being stubborn is to use Audible manager to 'deactivate' the device a couple of times, then 'activate' a couple of times. This seems to work for me at least. I don't know if anyone else has tried 'deactivating' first, just hought I'd add it as an option.

As yet though I have not managed to retrieve the audiobooks unless docked to a PC. TomTom Support say helpfully:

We are trying to replicate the problem here. As soon as we have a solotion for this it will be announced under the Support pages. We are sorry that we do not have a immediate solution for this.
