My personal preference is Kingston (Kingston 512MB High Speed SecureDigital (SD) CardLifetime) - or higher capacity if you want up to 1Mb.
Slower speed cards will work on the Navman but the Hi Speed ones will ensure a faster response on navigation and are the 'preferred'.
Your choice... Wink

I've owned my ICN510 for about 9 months and it's pretty good - I've just updated the software.......but I've also just loaded some 'speed zoned' speed camera files to my POIs and it seems that a maximum of only 25 'Active' POIs are allowed.

Am I right in assuming that only active POIs will give audio and visual warning? If so, can I set them to warn me only when the POI is on-route? as opposed to anywhere in the area. If I'm right about the active POIs, then 25 really isn't enough.

I've recently loaded Tom Tom onto my mobile phone and I have to say that the software is much much better...for example, what on earth is Navmans problem with a full postcode search? It's on the Tom Tom system, and works faultlessly.

Ade.
Can you tell me how you got 25 Poi's to be active on your machine.
My machine only let's me have 16 active poi's. I have reloaded files in different orders and it is always the first 16 installed that are active, whilst all the others are listed, but inactive.
The handbook says customisable poi's can be made active, so why can't mine? I am not exceeding Navman's limit of 25.
Have e-mailed Navman but still waiting for a response, but that's like waiting for martians to land!
Any ideas.

Ade

No not true but this speed is recommended as this will make your routing and responses from your device musch faster. I use and recommend Kingston as a great supplier - currently their 512Mb cards are £30 incl VAT and postage, the 1Mb card is exactly twice that - £60

See here http://www.smcdirect.co.uk/dept.asp?id=920
or other sites selling Kingston. Or see this site http://www.card-media.co.uk/SD+%28Secure+Digital%29+MemoryCards.htm

Hi
After a lot of research, I use a PNY Technologies 1 GB SD card. It performs perfectly. Installed on it is all of the UK, all of France, European & World base maps, UK & French Ferries and loads of Poi’s with room for more.
It has a write speed of 133x (20 MB/Sec) and a read speed of 150x (22.5 MB/Sec) so no problem with the Navman when calculating routes the two tend to work in harmony.
It cost me a fraction under £50 with P&P.
Regards

Ade.

Do all of your POI's show up as active? I am having grief with my 520, only letting the first 16 files installed become active. All other files are shown on the Navman but you cannot activate them from the Navman, even though the 'active' check box was ticked during installation.
Had unit changed today and new unit is doing exactly the same.
I'm stumped.

Chris.
