hi elder, when i've recorded my voice and converted them with ogg dropper and then use the poi-patcher i just get silence when i put them on my go, even when i change one command and then recompile all the ogg's again i still get silence.

Check that you have all 59 files and that all your files have the correct file names. For instance AhLefturn.ogg is incorrect, should be AhLefTurn.ogg
poi-patcher does not give you any feedback and quite happily assembles a voice with incorrect file names which consequently doesn't work. |

ok elder. it has notified me in the past of this, when i just change lets say arrive ogg from a previeous voice file, all the outher parts of that voice work when instaled in the go, but when it says "in 300 yards you have[silense at this point], where my voice should be ie, you have reached your destanation. i have recorded my voice at, pcm 22050 kh 16 bit mono, as stated by someone else on this subject, i have been in contact with ray flanagan he has used it in the past and had it working but after i had emaild him he re-downloaded and it didn't work for him! |

yep, i'm using gold wave to listen to them, and they all seem to work but not on my go 300 for some reason, any ideas? should i download poi-patcher again to seen if it works? |

yeah, but i could'nt get it to work i've tried all the suggestions in the posts on this forum but could not find one that worked for me. i've been trying for about 2 weeks now, i've instaled and the deleted loads of data.chk and vif.files from my sd card, i just hope the terminals don't wear out
any time soon it's a 1gb |

hello ray i've sent you my Arrive ogg, hope you can get it to work, thanks for the help you're giving ray and elder much apreciated.
y'know could do with a spell check or summert on reply page, need to keep changing my spelling. oops! should have done better at school , could do with a course on computer programing so i get things to work! |

Its your ogg file, the audio level / volume is too low. Lifted it 20db and now I can here it. _________________ Ray

how do i make it louder ray can i use gold wave? can you recomend any voice change software i'd like to do a dalec voice or something similar, cheers i'll try and make a voice with the file you e maild me. + did you use poi patcher to make the voice. thanks ray for helping me out, was gonna give up. |

Don't know gold wave but I'd assume there is a n amplify or gain setting somewhere. If you're after a free audio editor try Wavepad :

Under the effects tab you'll find an amplify option. If you play about with the reverb setting you'll get your darlec voice.

hi ray, was getting exited then but doesn't seem to work with poi patcher i've even un-ticked the, if you use tom tom 300/500/700 box and tried that but i didn't work also tried genrate new file but get an error, all the other commands work but i still cain't hear my voice. damn |
