IMO I find that on most internet forums, especially "geek" forums where lots of technical talk goes on, you only get help if you have demonstrated that you have done as much work as possible in helping yourself first.

If you come barging in with an attitude and demonstrate that you have done little to none research (remember google is a free service), or ask a question that could easily be answered by RTFM then you get the response you deserve.

Personally I think grimreaper has got off quite lightly, many forums I frequent are far far harsher.
