| I had to reinstall on my pda a few times in a matter of days due to problems. It let me use the activation code more than once. |

Of course because that is the SAME PDA, the protection kicks in when you try to install to ANOTHER device.

Because the installation looks for the unique hardware ID of the device. When you successfully activate it adds a file that contains this information. If the hardware ID does not match this info then you will be asked to activate again.

| I used it on my Axim X5 first then my X50v. Surely the activation should not have worked then? |

As I said earlier, you can activate a 2nd different device once 7 days has passed and a 3rd once 6months has passed.
