Glad your problem is now resolved. Just to confirm, you have the latest software - internal memory is 16Mb - no maps are loaded on it as the unit uses the SD card. Happy travelling........ _________________ Gee-Pee

Hi folks,
I've followed this thread with interest and then, lo and behold, the same error has happened to me but under a different circumstance. Trying to plot a route from Hawkshead, Cumbria to basically anywhere south of Watford using the ferry crossing over Lake Windermere. I get exactly the same error:
Application Error
CODE\NAVIGATOR\GUI\UNSTABLE\APPS\GUIEX.C
Line:554 Test: GET_WINDOWS (RES) = = NULL
Cannot Create 936 Instance Already Exists.
However, if I decide to avoid ferries, there is no problem.
But here's the really weird part: if I plan the route from Hawkshead to say, Kendal which is not very far and I use the ferry crossing, it routes it fine!!! The problem only occurs on a long trip. BTW, it doesn't have to start in Hawkshead, anywhere in the vicinity gives the same error.
