All us "classic" owners will be heartily laughing when the first TTG virus starts being spread around via Bluetooth Laughing
You could store it on your phone, drive behind them, send it direct and next thing you know it starts sending people all over the place.

Its bound to happen one day.

The Go 300 is a bluetooth device.

The feature that is missing is the Handsfree phone. It is still able to access traffic and the rest of the plus services using the BT connection.

Seeing it IS a BT device, and it's using V5, then surely it must be able to pair up with a BT mobile phone??.

Or have TomTom some magical powers that does otherwise, that it blocks out mobile phones, to use TT Plus, and traffic, don't you need a mobile phone connected?

The processor in the GO300 is nat fast enough to handle phone calls in a proper way. But it is capable of data transfer via GPRS. So you are able to use the PLUS services like Traffic, Weather and so, but not use as a handsfree kit.
The processor of the GO500 and 700 are twice as fast and capable of handling phone calls.

We've had a thread about upgrading Go Classic to add Bluetooth in the past here.

I agree with Mike - it's a non-starter. The original thread was more looking towards an official TomTom upgrade, but I don't suspect there's a market for a third party solution either.
