brodit only has the passive cradle for the axim x50v and mypal a730. they have the active cradle for the loox 720 but not the one for fixed installation. can perhaps be remedied but the wire is very visible from the front. they do have the active holder for fixed installation for the new ipaqs, which is good news.

It can be quite a tussle to get my ipaq out, that's true. It would be nicer to instead have some sort of locking mechanism so the pocket pc would slide out easily. Still, I'd rather have that than no mount at all, especially as when all the wires are tucked away it's quite neat.
