Have you tried it set to COM3 or S2410 COM1 and use the same BAUD speed that wtks on the old ipaq - You havn't turned on the "recieve all beams" in connections IRdA or loaded up an external keyboard driver software by any chance? only asking cos its a couple of weeks since we last tried to get this working - Mike

I have read somewhere on this forum that the 1715 does not have a comm 1 and if you are using a cradle with a hardwired GPS this will be on comm 1. Sad

The rz1715 is exactly the same as the rz1710. HP use the xxx0 and xxx5 numbering to track orders sold through corporate and other channels.

Hi there, new to the site Laughing

I had the same problem on my Ipaq. Turned out that the windscreen of my car has a reflective coating which stopped the signal from getting to the GPS Receiver. I tried putting the receiver up by the rear view mirror (that is where the window has a patch of black dots (technical I know Mr. Green )

Anyway, the result is that the unit and ttn 5 are both working perfectly.

Also, are you waiting long enough for your unit to get a first lock Question
You should be in a clear space (no trees or houses too close) where the receiver can get a good line of sight of the sky for a period between 45seconds and 4 minutes (depending on your receiver).

Hope this helps a little Driving
