No, Memory Map only offers certain areas of the UK at this scale (mostly national parks and scottish regions) - see http://www.memory-map.co.uk/maps_uk_onland_1_25000.htm |

If i were to use 1:50,000 maps for now, which one of the two to go for?
Fugawi 3.1 allows scanning and importing of nearly any map. |

Memory-map DO have full UK coverage at 1:25,000
http://www.memory-map.co.uk/selections.htm
I would carefully check the Fugawi OS series as all other products using OS mapping has a licensing restriction which does not allow importing and scanning of your own maps.

Sorry to have come late to this conversation.
The only option for UK and Palm OS is Fugawi.

All OS mapping providers have been restricted from creating really usefull software by the Ordnance Survey, forcing you to buy a complete new set of maps when a new feature is added to the software. They have graciously allowed the developers to fix bugs though.
They are also paranoid that any user of an OS version of the application will scan in maps and deprive them of even more income. Therefore they stop you using the application with your own data, in particular foreign maps where the publishers allow you to scan and calibrate.
I have raised this with the OS on several occasions and have hit a brick wall. So when you buy maps this year and another area of maps next year but have to have multiple applications to use them dont blame the developers, blame the OS.

Ordnance Survey have always been the 'fly in the ointment' as far as software that uses their maps is concerned.
The above staement is exactly why software developers either don't update their software or only do it after a long period of time has lapsed because of the risk of losing custom because your 'paid for' older maps are no longer compatible with newer software.
I wonder then if OS are not breaking their own Fair Information Trading Principles but then again, as OS is a government department I can't see them being liable under the Competition Act 1998.
Developers hands are firmly tied behind their backs meaning they have to shell out megabucks to add a simple feature to their software and we, the end user, have to buy new maps to use it.
It seems the only winner here is Ordnance Survey. _________________ Ian.
