UK Postcode is specific to versions of TomTom Navigator that have SDK support - Navigator 2 and Navigator 3.

It will not work with the software in the HP Navigation Pack, nor with anything from another company. Further, the information in it is steadily going out of date, and there may not be any upgrades forthcoming.


TomTom may add SDK support to the "common platform" program used in the HP Navigation Pack. If, as I suspect, this program is used in the next European release of TomTom Navigator expected some time in the next six or so months, I think there'll be considerable anger if there's no support for the add-on software so many people are used to using.

However, I have no idea if TomTom do plan to add this support, and if they do whether it will be available to HP Navigation Pack customers.


If you want to use UK Postcode, you'll have to buy TomTom Navigator 3 software - though that will cost you around 100 pounds and it contains older maps than those in the HP Navigation Pack.
