Thanks. Wow, no I hadn't seen it. Very interesting.
I have seen that the ITIS share price has jumped hugely in recent months whereas TM is doing pretty poorly in comparison. I wish I had spent beer money more wisely in October/November last year. :-)

I've almost given up on UK TMC. The rception is in any case so bad with Classic FM and ITIS as to make TMC useless in my home range area.
I wouldn't give up just yet, it looks like a network of other radio stations will be added to the Classic FM TMC carrier for iTIS and reception should therefore be improved:

In addition ITIS already uses broadcasters other than Classic FM for example Real Radio Yorkshire and Real Radio South Wales. Earlier this year we concluded a number of new contracts which will provide us access to further Regional stations across the UK. Details will announced in due course as they come on air.
The main reason for expanding our network is to improve the performance of portable receivers. Since they portable the antennas these systems use are less efficient at recovering signal at lower field strength.
So in summary, yes are rolling out new regional broadcasters. These will have the effect of increasing field strength. However we will continue to strongly recommend using an antenna coupler/splitter to get the best performance from portable devices.
There doesn't appear to be any similar commitment from TrafficMaster to improve their network though.
Have you had any response from Mio about your direction reporting problem? _________________ Andy

It's interesting to know that the ITIS TMC network may be expanding in terms of station coverage.
I didn't pursue the wrong direction bug in the end - didn't chase up feedback from my report. I see anyway that the bug has been commented on before in the GPS Passion forums in relation to the C310x. Sounds like the same bug.
It's a bit of a shame that Mio or iGO or whoever is responsible for coding Miomap doesn't have a better system for bug reporting or even a public beta test prog. I think that most of the problems would be pretty simple to fix.
This issue is now apparently in the hands of the software guys at Mio, so let's hope that future software releases fix the problem.
Gareth - I've given you a more detailed response in PMs
Thanks for this - it's good news that the problem has been registered!
I do wonder though whether or not Mio or iGo or whoever is responsible for the core Miomap software do need UK volunteer beta testers.
I've notice in the last couple of days - yesterday and today - that TMC reception has been very difficult to obtain in the areas surrounding the M3 where it is usually possible to get a decent signal. I'm wondering if it's my shoestring aerial connection that's starting to die.
