help can anyone tell me how long tt3 takes to install - I am looking at the setup screen for the last 15 mins with the little folders and paper going from one to the other. Should I wait or start to panic ! |

What/where are you installing onto ?
I installed onto a 2210. It is two stages:
1) The application installed onto IPAQ memory
2) Maps: I installed onto my CF Card
total time under 15 mins easy (moe like 5-10 mins) |

I have had this issue too.
I found that the program tends to fail first time (Think it is activesync playing up actually!) the easiest way is to kill the install that is running (Ctrl alt delete and then task manager....applications...select TomTOm or setup and then end task) then undock redock the Ipaq and try again.
Hope it helps

Hmm.,.probably unnecessary advice but:
1) Make sure you've rebooted your computer and killed any unnecessary programmes.
2) Perform a soft reset on your IPAQ. Also might be worth checking to make sure that the memory on the IPAQ is sufficient.
what operating system do you have on your computer?
which version of active sync are you using?
I have a CF 512 also, so I don't think that can be the issue (especially if you've not got as far as installing the maps) |
