Hi all
I have a nuvi 2515 (bought from new) and over the last few months it keeps freezing on start up, it eventually goes to a calibration screen and you can push the calibration dot as many times as you want and nothing happens, some times it goes to a satalite screen that I have never seen before. Occasionally it gets to the menu screen and allows me to enter destination. But is very slow and every keystroke takes 10 to 10 seconds.
I have tried updating the software, but had made no difference.
To me it seems like the software is corupt,
Any help please or am I going to have to buy a new satnav, if it comes to that I will not buy another garmin as I have had no use out of this one. |

Hi
I have tried both ideas and still the same, it seems to be a software issue, is there any where i can get all the files to put back on to my nuvi 2015, i dont need map file just the rest, as i am sure this is a software issue and not a hardware issue. |

Well a master reset puts in back to the factory default settings so I'm not sure what 'software' you think will help?
The files on your nuvi aren't the software, as that is inaccessible to you. I don't know how old your nuvi is (you say you bought it from new so it could be over a year old) but if still within warranty call Garmin ... they are very good at swapping any faulty units.
If it's outside the warranty come back for more advice. |
