As this is not really to do with downloading to a Mac, I'll split this off to it's own topic. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

If you have updated maps or software recently, it's very possible for your POI warning sounds to get de-selected.
The way to avoid it happening in the future is to make sure you have a backup of the file "MapSettings.cfg" (found in your current Europe map folder on the TomTom), and you can then restore it to the same place if you lose them again.
If you have a recent backup of the whole device, then you can try doing that now (replacing the "new" copy of the file that will be there with the old one from the backup.
If not, then you will need to go through the set-up process again (in Manage POIs/Warn when near POI) for each camera type. That's a bit long-winded, but hopefully it's the last time you'll need to do it.
Because once you've done it, you must THEN make a new backup of the whole TomTom to your PC/Mac (as described in the FAQs at the top of this forum section).
Hope that helps, let us know how you get on, or if you need further explanation. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I would advise against using HOME to do a Backup. The Explorer way is far safer, and you have more control over where it goes and what you can name it. _________________ Richard
