Pocket GPS World was started almost two years ago because there were no english speaking dedicated Pocket PC GPS Websites around. Since then, many new sites have appeared, but Pocket GPS World still remains the largest and most popular GPS website and that's thanks to all of you who have made it so!
We have grown substantially over this time, and it's come to a point in time that we have decided to say thank you to the elite members of the forums and to start handing back the site to you the visitors. Approaching the 2 year anniversary we have hand picked a number of very talented and extremely hard working GPS Enthusiasts to help us run and maintain the forums. These enthusiasts like ourselves have put countless hours into the site to help others who are in need of help, and over time will also start to help out further in other areas of the website, so we hope you will all join us in welcoming the new following moderators:-
DavidW
Privateer
Bo Peep
Oldie
Tim Buxton
Alex Dixon
They will be helping us shape the Pocket GPS Forums and start moving posts, creating new self help posts and make it much easier to find those all important topics that we all somehow forget where to find. |

Congratulations and thanks to all those mentioned. I know that I for one have been helped out by a couple of the above mentioned, so it's well deserved

Congratulations to all the new moderators and thanks to the team that has brought Pocket GPS World forums this far. One of the joys of these forums is the complete lack of "flaming" so often found on other forums around the Net. Long may that continue. _________________ Tony

I went to town to get some car polish earlier. I'm wondering now if I should have got some L or P plates at the same time (for the back of my office chair!). I could stick one on my wheelchair for a laugh, too - though I passed my wheelchair test a couple of years ago
You have to pass a control test in an electric wheelchair before the NHS will consider you for an electric wheelchair. This is no joke - you have to demonstrate you can control the chair safely, as if you're not in full control you can injure yourself and others, or cause some serious damage to the chair and other property. When I'm in my chair, the combined mass is around 190kg.
I successfully edited a post earlier to fix up a duff link - I'm learning.
Thanks to those who have give me their congratulations and appreciation of my participation in the forums. I'm grateful for the support of forum members and the vote of confidence from the Team. Hopefully myself and my fellow moderators will be able to help the forum develop, not least by lightening the load on the Team so that they can get on with other things.
