|
|
Some good news is needed and we have just the ticket to bring some cheer.
Starting on December 1st and running every day until Christmas Eve we will be hosting our 24 Days of Christmas Giveaway.
We wanted to thank all our subscribers, forum members and readers and what better way than with a gift or two?
We are still finalising the details but there will be a prize draw everyday, bigger prizes each Sunday and a grand finale prize on Christmas Eve. There will be prizes for subscribers, both new and existing, forum members, Newsletter readers and Twitter followers so everyone will have an opportunity to participate.
Amongst the growing list of prize sponsors is Garmin, Navman Mio, Viewranger, SuperEtrader, Griffin Technology, Arkon and Morpeth Mobiles and the prize list includes PNDs, gadgets, accessories, software and more. There will also be one year and lifetime subscriptions on offer too (subscription required).
So mark the date in your calendar, the fun starts on December 1st and it won't stop until Santa is on his way.

Crikey, I haven't stopped this morning, huge amounts of interest in our 24 Day Giveaway and the prize list is growing at a rate.
A courier has just delivered a very nice prize from Garmin that will be drawn on Christmas Eve. It's going to make one lucky winner very happy _________________ Darren Griffin |

And dragging this back to the giveaway topic if we can please
We now have SatMap on board with a very generous £100 voucher to spend with them, and a rather swish iDAPT universal charger from Nemesis.
We also have some Griffin Threadless iPhone cases and ALK have provided CoPilot Licences.
All that on top of a bundle of gadgets, a superb Arkon iPhone GPS cradle, PNDs from Garmin and Navman, a hand made iPad or iPhone stand from Woodpads, Sony Ericsson Live View, Solar backpack and many more.
It's gonna be quite a giveaway. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I'm excited myself, and I won't even be entering!!
Already seen a massive increase in the number of people following us on Twitter ( http://twitter.com/pocketgpsworld ) - the more ways you support us the more ways you can win!
The only thing that will be a 'problem' are the subscription competitions... There will be competitions for NEW subscribers as well as existing ones. Sadly, you can't be both...
Enjoy, only 4.12 days to go!

Some more great prizes from Otterbox, Memory-Map and Carcomm.
We plan to announce the prize for each day in the morning. Entries will be accepted so long as they were sent to us (submissions will be via email) by midnight that day.
The Sunday draw will be for a higher value prize and all those who entered in the previous week will automatically be entered.
There will be draws for forum members, newsletter readers, Twitter users and subscribers so everyone will have an opportunity to join in.
Christmas Eve will culminate with a very special draw open to all, the prize is very nice indeed _________________ Darren Griffin |

Without any subs, I think I've counted perhaps 15 items? You'll be getting up towards a Gadget Show list in no time at all! _________________ Dennis

Gawd, this is like drawing teeth (don't mention teeth after my nine extractions a month ago!!!).
I was being coy, trying to get a list. Presumably you'll do a list when the time comes (day after tomorrow). _________________ Dennis

In the UK we have a lot of 'up to' disclaimers in very small letters. For example:
Internet: (up to) 8mb ADSL broadband
Sales: (up to) 50% off
Buses: (up to) every 12 minutes
In the spirit of our, at times odd, culture I feel we should correct you to say:
"Woohoo, (up to) free stuff"
as, sadly, not everyone will win....!
