I am thinking of subscribing to PGPSW to replace the TomTom Speed Camera database. I am finding it very difficult to find real beginners info.
Any info/advice would be gratefully received.
1. How much space does the PGPSW databaase require? According to TomTom Home the SD card has 1591MB free out of 1921MB. According to Windows, Used = 329MB with 1.55GB free out of total 1.87 GB.
2. Would I need to remove TomTom Camera database before installing PGPSW database (UK)
Regards
John H, Newcastle upon Tyne. |

Welcome to the forum, Custom POI files don't take up much space at all, the database from here is under 1MB, thats not to say its shy on locations as it contains thousands, the file storage using the ov2 format is very efficient in terms of storage space.
Run both sets of cameras for a couple of weeks to compare the database quality, once you know which is best remove the rubbish files from your device, then spend time submitting locations as you could qualify for a lifetime membership - Mike |

Thanks v. much, Mike.
So it has more than enough space for all the existing TomTom database plus PGPSW Camera database, POI and presumably voices for warnings?
Sorry if I appear dense. - John. |

You could even add a couple of regional maps to the device and still have space remaining - Mike |

I just looked on my TomTom Go and the warning voices I have loaded are 818 kB (838,191 bytes) and last weeks camera database was 642 kB (657,840 bytes) for all 94 files or 580 KB (594,390 bytes) for the 90 important ones.
That's less than 1.5MB in total
So you'll fit them on very easily. |
