Okay

Been holding out on the new V850 maps, i am still just in my LMG so thought i would wait and see if any bugs were fixed first, plugged in yesterday, went to LMG under 'tools' and here we go.

I opted for Western Europe, i can't see me ever driving in Turkey, im off to Italy and France so there the important ones.....anyway - followed it all, reboot 'NO MAPS FOUND'!!!!!!!!!!

Tried different area, the same, quick look through the original thread bout these maps and someone on there had prob with X50 maps due to wrong version, could this be the same thing? Im going to resort to backup i did just before i played around with this map to get it up and working whilst i try and contact TomTom - or is it something simple i can do?

One last question, i have no SD card, will try to get one soon, even though i have selected Western, if i get SD card, will the whole map download be there available for me to put on card in the future, anyway to download to PC ready to go on to card?

Thanks in advance Smile

Sorry let me add current unit spec - (need to get signature done)

AKUSE BSPR2
APP 9.001 (1666/040301) OS:1000
GPS v1.20 Boot 1.00.12

I have One IQ Routes, so my updates are particularly slow.

As far as I can tell from others, if your limited internal memory makes them offer 'zoned' v850 maps, if you get a 4 GB card and make it the active memory, TT Home will give you the full un-zoned v850 maps. There are other posts and even instructions

I got No Map when I interrupted 'copy to device', intending to get all the zones downloaded - No Map prevents further downloads, too, until I do my ONE HOUR 'copy to device'. Yours is probably a bit quicker.

You don't have an x40, but have a look at this recent warning:

Okay

Contacted TT Support today - word has it my App wasn't high enough for it to read the maps - i was holding off on the App, because i had the unit a couple of days, stuck the app on and it went tits up - started re-booting etc.

So i have downloaded latest App update, now putting map on, see if it does make a difference!

If you have already downloaded one or more of the 'zoned' maps, but then, at a later date buy an SD card and want to put the full map onto it, there's a trick to get Home to offer it to you.

You need to put your OLD map onto the SD card (just copy it from a backup), select that one for use and THEN connect to Home and select "update my device".

Cheers Andy

I will take note of that, the Western Zone does cover a massive chunk of Europe though, France, Spain, Italy, the general Parts i would drive - but its always handy to have the others...........i might get lost Laughing Out Loud

Thanks again
