Hi,
I've download the gpsworld speed cams and halfords POIs for my iPhone TomTom and their showing as red squares instead of proper icons. Other POIs like Shell petrol and Vauxhall dealers show up ok.
Anyone know whats wrong?

The bmp files for the POI files showing up as red are missing or the file name doesn't match the coresponding ov2 file, the ov2 and bmp files both need to be put in your UK&ROI or Western_Europe map folder as applicable - Mike |

Thank you. Fines the Halfords one, the H was capital in one and not the other. But the gpsworld ones match though and still show red. Any ideas? |

My only other though is how many custom POI files have you got installed to the application as we don't know if there is a limit on quantity, I have the full Speed Zoned file set installed on my unit and they all work fine - Mike |

Only the speed cams, nissan dealer, shell garage and vauxhall garage. It even shows up red in the POI selection menu. |

In that case it has to be that the name is not identical in some way.
It should be abcdef.ov2 and abcdef.bmp
As an afterthought do you have your View Options, in Windows Explorer, unticked for "Hide extensions for known file types"? It could be that there is a problem there. _________________ Richard

I'm using Apple OSX and using a program called Transmit to move the files. |

Is there a way to get files on the iPhone without jailbreaking it? (for Windows) |

If you are wanting to put POI files or custom voices on the TT iPhone application then have a read of This which details how to do it for the TomTom application without jailbreaking the phone - Please note this won't work for Sygic as we have already tried it when the application first launched, but for TomTom it seems fine - Mike |
