i recently connected my sat nav to the pc clicked on tomtom home for map updates, i am told the map is 38% out of date and i need to update so i click on the update for quarterly only to be told i need a new map to get these. i downloaded the new uk&ireland map price £19.80 - then the quarterly download £9.90 total £29.70.
then i tried out the sat nav and new map only to fined as i approched derby city center the voice message told me to go round the round about and take the forth exit but no round about there the road lay out was changed over 12 months ago so i find that the new map is out of date.
i contacted tomtom about the map only to be told that 99% of all maps are okay there for i would not get a refund or a newer map, but i could contact tele atlas about the problem.
i told tomtom i purchased the map off you so i think you should contact tele atlas not me and thats it not heard any more from tomtom so i seem to have spent £29.70 for nothing.
The Derby roundabout, if it is the one I have been confused by twice now, is still showing a path through a building and must have been very major. That it is still not right in the latest maps is appalling. I can understand minor places being out of date, but a major city centre interchange is very bad.
[edit]
This is where it is wrong (for me). The traffic from the lower right Station Approach is able to turn right now across the bridge. It all goes confused as you do so, and you are lucky to find the right lane again.

thanks for the maps that's how the roads use to be well over 12 months ago. most roads leading on to and going from what use to be a roundabout is very confusing and with an out dated map its near imposible to navigate
