Hi all,
Im just wondering if starting TT on my iPAQ should be such a long winded affair? Heres what I do:
Power on iPAQ and BT308, turn on BT on the iPAQ, BT manager click and hold BT-GPS then click connect, close that window then start and click checkpoint.
Seems like a lot of messing about but if thats how it has to be done then i'll have to live with it! |

With my 2210 I have button 4 set up to launch Checkpoint which in turn launches TTN3. I leave Bluetooth on permanently so it's just a case of press button 4 and - having just timed it - 9 seconds later the Navigator screen is ready to accept instructions. _________________ Tony

Thanks for the info Tony, that sounds far better than how I do things.
Any help on setting this up would be appreciated |

Hi Taz – launch Checkpoint – I use 2.0.2 – tap the icon and go into “General Settings”. Tick the two boxes for “Automatically starting TomTom Navigator when Checkpoint is started” and for “Automatically stop Checkpoint when TomTom Navigator is stopped.
To launch everything using one of the iPAQ buttons go Start – Settings – Buttons. Select your button of choice by tapping it and then choose Checkpoint from the “Button Assignment” menu. If you are running the ukpostcode program, whilst you are there you can allocate another button to launch that program.
As for the GPS Connect, I used to have to do that manually with the GPS 2.08 driver but the 3.02 driver connects automatically – I gather this bit of automation isn’t to everyone’s taste as it blocks the use of a mobile phone with the iPAQ but since my mobile is an old steam driven one it’s not a problem for me! _________________ Tony

Tony.....
Thanks a lot
I had to remove 3.02 as it was dropping BT with my 5550 and I'm about to install memory map as well.
Will give that a go now.
thanks again |
