I have one of the original Tomtom one units and have recently acquired one of the latest ones via my mum who thought it was no good! My original is registered in my name but the new one in hers, I want to start using the new unit, it has the new mount etc, is there anyway I can put the new map which I payed for on the new unit? _________________ Graham

You'll have to contact TomTom to see if you can TRANSFER the map to the new unit but you can't copy it from one to the other. |

Yes i have when i had problems getting the LMG to work on my new unit. You have to be strong and persistent with them but they got everything sorted. |

I was looking at this as my TomTom has given up so I am buying a new one and found the following on the tomtom site:-
If you replace your device you can update your MyTomTom account in TomTom HOME.
Note: You can only change the device that is linked to your account once every six months and this action cannot be undone. Any services (eg. safety cameras, downloadable maps, etc.) you may have will be transferred to this newly linked device and you will no longer be able to use your services with your old device.
Follow these steps to update your account with a new device:
1. Connect your new device to your computer.
2. Launch TomTom HOME and log in.
3. A window will pop-up stating that the connected device is not linked to your account.
Click Update your account from the list of options.

That worked so I have changed the details and will use the new unit from now on, I had to delete the old Europe map that was on it in order to install the latest UK map. I take it there is not enough room on these units for the latest 2 gig European maps then? P.s thanks for the contact number Mike, even though in the end I didn't need it! _________________ Graham
