I downloaded 1 category of POI for my Garmin 255WT.
I unzipped the file, loaded Garmin POI Loader and went through the process. It told me the POI were succesfully loaded.
How can I tell?
Is there a file now on my garmin, or are they just stored under an exisiting POI heading?
For information I downloaded a few supermarkets |

There should be a file called poi.gpi under the Garmin/poi folder on the unit.
Also look under Where To, Extras, Custom POIs or Where To?, Custom POIs.
Note if you wish to add any more you need to add all the POIs in one go. POILoader wipes out all existing Custom POIs before adding new ones. |

Hi Thanks for the quick response.
Do they now automatically appear on my screen when I am driving round or do I need to set that. |

It varies from model to model and also depends on the zoom level. You'll either have to try it out or wait for another 255WT owner to confirm. |
