Here's a strange one...
I undocked my Go720 from the PC one day last week, and when it rebooted it flashed up some sort of welcome message.
"Oh oh" I thought, "looks like I've lost all my camera warning settings again". But when I checked, they were all still there, so I thought it was just one of those things.
But since then, I keep finding things have reset to defaults... Eg:
Keyboard reverted to ABCDE instead of QWERTY
TT speed cameras have switched back on again
Voice changed back to a TTS one when I have been using "Tim" (nonTTS)
Map Colour Scheme reverted to a built-in one rather than my custom one.
And now I've just connected to Home, and it said I'm 8 weeks out of date!
(but going to the "Update" page and then back again without downloading anything, it now says I'm up to date.
I don't think this is what happens if you do a "Factory Reset", I think I'd have lost much more if I'd done one of those by accident somehow.
So what file must have got corrupted that stores all of these other settings, it's not MapSettings.cfg, for once that was fine! |

There are free File Compare utilities on the web. Why not grab one and compare your unit's contents now with a recent backup? You DO have a backup, don't you? |

Er... a what?
Didn't you know, IT professionals backup their PCs less than any other section of society? |
