Just added new map of GB and Ireland.
Had older version of the same map on the device and the new version seems to have over writen the old, its in the same folder.
However no POI's particularly the speed cam stuff or favs are showing.
Which files do I need to copy back into the directory from the complete backup (yes a proper one, not through Home) I have.
Is ther anyway to get recent destinations as well? |

Assuming your backup was taken after you configured the POI files just copy the "MapSettings.cfg" file from the map folder in your backup to the new map folder on the device - Mike |

Used the new maps for past couple of days.
On trip to Preston old map version always wanted you to leave and immediately rejoin the motorway at J8 on the M61 when heading North. This was bizzare as at that point the motorway turns slightly to the right so this was actually longer than staying on the motorway.
On the new map version this doesn't happen anymore.
On a trip to Coventry the A616 is shown with an almost chicane like double curve close to small roundabout near to M1 at J35A. The road is actually a gentle curve, previous map version didn't have this strange double curve. |

At the weekend did a trip down to Cambridge on the A1. I've done this trip many times as my son is at uni there.
Anyway the new UK and Ireland map I bought last week has the new junctions on the A1.
There is lots of work ongoing to replace roundabouts with a proper junction much like motorway ones.
The new junction at the A57 is there and some others as well. Further south the work is still underway and the roundabout still exists, bizzarly the new map data shows a straight through route. So the data is actually in advance of the road change! |

Like Carpenters Lodge at Stamford...
I'm just trying to suss out how to tell my TomTom to stop telling me to "Keep Right" to avoid going up slip-roads in Peterborough...
Did a run down to Crick yesterday, and managed to make about 10 updates to the map, mainly street names....
Although - i did notice that on V7 of the software, it used to tell me to "Turn Left" through the village of Weldon near Corby, but now it tells me to "Turn Right" and keep going along the A43... |
