A number of the posts here refer to battery drain when the device is turned off. Two weeks in, I've had lots of playing around, two days walking (70% brightness, advanced settings enabled), a couple of hours on the bike (full brightness to cope with the sunglasses(!) and route up set) and so far, the batter meter shows all bars lit on the out-of-the box batteries.
Does this mean I just got lucky, or is this issue now fixed (firmware is 1.16 if that makes a difference)

sorry if this is not the correct place.
BUT i have had to return the device A10 - basically a days rain
when out walking caused the screen to go - well several coloured
puddles appear present and when switched ON the screen cant be read properly.
Anyway SAtmap have replaced with a NEW unit version 1.8 whatever software. RETURN of post NO concerns there at all
NOW when i recharge the LiPol battery
as usual i switch the unit OFF after the screen shows it charging and leave it to itself.
BUT this time i noted that the screen flashes every several minutes.
IS this a new thing - i ask as i have never noted this before |

There is an option in settings to turn off the 'Alert if screen off' feature, this drove me mad a while back when it beeped and flashed throughout the night in the same room I was trying to get some sleep in, enough to wake you up, but difficult to know what was causing it ! - Mike |
