Hi.. I've just come across your site, I've downloaded to my pc a few POI's what do I do next? I can see them in a folder on my pc but haven't a clue what to do next to get them to my TT GO 720.

Easy.
Connect your Go to the PC with a USB lead (or the dock that came with it - either will do).

Windows will recognise the Go as a new hard drive (two new hard drives if you have an SD card installed as well).

Assuming you haven't added a map on an SD card, using Windows Explorer (or 'My Computer'), browse to the TomTom internal memory and find your named map folder (it will be called "Western_Europe" or similar on a 720)

Now the POI files you downloaded will have arrived as a "zip" archive. You need to right-click on it and select "extract all" from the menu to extract all the individual files.

Each POI set consists of a data file (e.g "shops.ov2") and a picture icon file ("shops.bmp"). Simply copy both of them into the map folder you located above. Repeat for each POI category you want.

Just be aware there is a limit of around 200 categories you can add. (and this includes the TT-supplied camera database - you'll see those when you start looking at the map folder's contents.

To see them on the TomTom display, you need to go to "Show POIs on map" in the menus.
