Hi All, I want to fit a new battery to my Tomtom 910. I have removed the outer black plastic cover but just a little unsure how to proceed. Its better to ask for help then plow ahead and make a of it ! Can anyone tell me step by step what to do ? Thanks ........... Roland |

First of all your device is still covered by the warranty so try and find any purchase evidence you have for the device, although the 910 cannot be more than 2 years old at this point, so you have a good case.
If you do decide to contact support TT try 0845 161 0009, if you go for the DIY route follow the picture guide in the link Anita provided, but don't hold me responsible if you mess it up, and please heed the warnings about disconnecting the ribbon cables, these are a swine to re-connect - Mike |

Thanks for your help. With the pictures and discription from Mike I have installed the battery. My tomtom is about 18/20 months old, I did try to contact tomtom but seemed to get nowhere !! found it much better to do the job myself. Once again, thanks to you all on GPS World ..... Roland |

Glad to hear it worked out for you, at least you have the satisfaction of a DIY repair, its not difficult but the idea of taking apart a device that cost £500 when new will put quite a few off - congratulations on fixing the device - Mike |
