The Mio168 runs TTN6 quite well, I have been running it for about 2yrs and well satisfied, bear in mind that you will lose the landscape mode within TTN5 but this can be brought back in the OS by upgrading the Mio to win2003se. |

Thanks for that.
In your opinion, is TTN6 is any better than TTN5 other than the usual fixes? |

What you gain with TTN6 are access to newer maps, up to 100 Custom POI categories and the ability to enter a nav to Lat/ Long, I cannot think of anything else.
What you will lose is the rotate screen option so landscape is out of the question within the application, the volume control is different and doesn't control the actual PDA volume rather than a percentage of the actual PDA volume, so if your PDA is set to 40% volume when you set the TomTom to 100% it will be 40% of the actual volume available from the PDA (I hope that makes sense).
If you use POI Capture stick with TTN5 as TTN6 will not reliably work with POICapture - Mike |

Mike is correct with the added information, the route to contact arrangement is also different but still available, also i found that updating to tt 6.030 appeared to be slightly faster and you do need to upgrade to w2003se for landscape mode which I find quite a vast improvement over TTN5 landscap mode, because it gives you landscape in the spreadsheet and makes it usable and also watch movies in widescreen, this can be configured to one of the front buttons and can operate at any time within programs, if you decide to go ahead and want info on upgrading, PM me and i can send you tutorial on upgrading and maybe neccesary upgrade bios, personally i think it enhances the Mio whether you go to TTN6 or not. |

I dont find the volume a problem, i just keep the mio volume set to full and use the screen slider in TT6 to adjust with my finger when travelling, Easy, the 100 POIs is a major advantage. I think its going to be hard to find a replacement when my Mio finally packs in. |
